We have 150 IBM System X iDataPlex dx360 M3 Server nodes, these nodes are not restricted to any user group and as a result perform a diverse range of workloads. Although these are busy nodes, the wait times are usually short due to the large overall number of cores provided by these nodes.

- Bear in mind the RAM limit on the dn nodes. Requesting less than 24GB total for a job will ensure the job can run on a dn node (obviously please ensure these are correct requirements, since failed jobs are a big waste of resources). Small single-core jobs of around 1GB RAM get scheduled very quickly on these nodes, hence array jobs of small tasks run quickly. Requesting more than a third of a node's resources will require a longer wait for similarly sized resources to become free.
- Hyperthreading is not enabled on the Intel CPUs. Jobs are therefore allocated real cores.
