Creating a Collection¶
Within your folder on Apocrita there is a Globus folder. This is the folder you are accessing from the Globus web interface. All other folder that sit above will not be seen. All sub folders can be accessed depending on your access level.
To create a collection click Endpoint > Search for “qmul research data store” > click the arrow.
Click Collections > Add a Collection
You will see the name of your folder here. Click your folder.
To create a Collection select the Local Account and your Globus ID (please note, these should match). Click Continue.
You only need to add a Collection Display Name to create the collection. Please name this the same as your folder on Apocrita. Do not create a different name as it will make it harder to discover your folder later.
- The remaining fields can be left blank and updated later.
- The default directory will default to the top level of the Globus folder.
- We recommend setting the encryption.
Click Create Collection
You should now be able to transfer data from your Collection on Apocrita.
If you need support with your new share you will need to add someone from ITS Research so they can have access to the collection you have created.
